project Fiji
In August of 2022 In association with
Counting Coral installed 137 sculptures in Navolo bay just off the island of Nacula which is part of the Yasawa island group in Fiji.

We spent 2 years working on building an amazing team, designing the sculptures, and fundraising whilst in the midst of a pandemic.

It took months of planning to get our work to Fiji's main island and a well organised effort to get our work from the mainland to Nacula island ready for the install.
Eight team members from all over the world converged on Nacula island to start the process of installing all 137 pieces of ornate artwork.
With a relentless dive schedule we made it happen in just over 5 weeks, in this time we also collected
and planted over 200 corals from eight different sites, making sure we only harvested corals of opportunity, climate resilient coral and rare unique corals that will grow uninterrupted for up to a year.
Our coral bank corals will be trimmed and those trimmings will be planted onto a secondary nurseries which will then be planted back onto the original reefs the corals were harvested from ensuring that each coral goes back to it's home.
